I’m very very very happy! Last week I had an email from a company I had an interview with a couple of months ago to say they had a job come up with their company that they thought I might be interested in. I of course replied saying I would love to apply and it was arranged that I would go along for an interview today. I got very nervous, but now realise there was no need to be. I arrived just before 9 and went into the small familiar looking room for my interview. It was different from last time as they had interviewed me before so didn’t need to go through everything again. They explained to me that the person they had hired before for the job I had applied for months before, had left, and they realised that the role needed to be split in 2. They had already found someone for the other role but now needed an administrator. I sis all the tests they had asked me to do and seemed to do well with those. With the interview coming to an end after 2 hours, the guy that was interviewing me offered me the job!! He said they had interviewed other people for the job, but I was the best out of all of them! I said I’d take it! Got the contracts and now just have to sign them and send one back! Should be starting there on the 19th June but that all depends on when my current companysay I can leave. After so long searching for a job, I’ve finally found one! So so so happy!

These are among the creatures that are evil and are out to get everyone! They’re everywhere in my house and we don’t know where they’re coming from! They just appear! They’re creepy and horrible. We had a good clean up of the house at the weekend and found so many! hoovered them all up and they were gone. Until the next morning.. I found loads!! 2 scuttling along on one of the stairs, a few in separate places on the landing and 1 in my room! Down stairs is worse, they’re in the kitchen, in the hallway, the dining room, the lounge, the study and the down stairs loo! Except they seem to prefer playing on the walls in there and not the floor like all the rest! I have no idea where they keep coming from! We get rid of them and then they appear again! Think they’re having a global get together to plan how they’ll be rid of us all, and they’re doing it in my home! Any one know of ways to get rid of them for good?

Last night mum and dad invited Matthew and me to join them at a quiz night with some of their friends at my old school to help raise money for some of the kids with World Challange in China. At 7:00 we headed to my mum and dads friends house for drinks and nibbles before heading of to the quiz. We were having a good laugh and getting all excited about the quiz, with everyone explaning to me and matt that we shouldnt expect to win as when ever they’ve done a quiz together they always come last. We weren’t to bothered as we just wanted to have a good evening. We then walked for 2 mins down the road to my old school at 8:00 to start the quiz. There were a lot of people there but we managed to find a table. We needed to think of a name for our team, so we decided to go along with the theme - China, we called ourselves Chinese Whispers There were 8 rounds, with an interval after the 4th round. We were doing really quite well in the first half. Each round had a maximum of 10 points and we got 9 each time My dad and his friend Allan had way too much to drink and were being really embarrasing, and we had to try and keep them quiet to stop them from shouting out the answers They were really funny though During the interval, we were given a bag of 10 different pieces of chocolate, which we had to identify. I did well on this round we got 9, after I smelt and tasted them all - think I eat a bit too much chocolate The one I wasnt able to get and no one else seemed to be able to get, was this pure peanut things, covered in caramel and chocolate. Apparently it’s a Star bar - what the hell is one of those?! never heard of that before! We played the other rounds and seemed to do really well one those too! At the end, while they counted up our scores, they drew tickets for the raffle. I laughed so much - I’m sure it was a fix! There were about 20 prizes and after the 10th prize was given, Allan and his wife Clarinda, won everything else between them!!! Each time a ticket was drawn it was one of theirs! We couldn’t believe it! I didnt win anything from it though When they had finished with that, they then annouched the results of the quiz. Chinese Whispers came first! We didn’t think we would, but we won! wooooooooooo! The prize we got was a bit naff, a bottle of champagne to share between the 8 of us and a certificate each to say that we won! ah well, it was a good evening any way - very good fun and very funny! Cheered me up for a while any way

I’ve had quite a lot of time recently to do some thinking, well a lot of thinking really – which I’m starting to think is bad for me. All this thinking is getting me down which is why I need to stop! It’s hard though.. I blame that silly site Facebook for a lot of my thinking. Being able to catch up and see what people from your past have been up to, what they’re doing now. It’s made me take a look at my life at the moment and I’m not liking it to much. My life is very repetitive, nothing changes, it just stays the same! I want it to be something different, do some more exciting things, something that’s not what I’m doing now which is just sitting around at home for the majority of the week! The only parts of my life I’m enjoying at the moment are the 2 days I get to see Matt – that’s it! There’s also some people who are thought where good friends but now seem to not be at all! Maybe I’m doing something wrong?! I think I need to change, but that’s the tricky part – how?! Maybe I’m just being silly, I don’t know..

Random I know, but it’s true! As it said in my other post, I’ve been having to wear my spare pair of glasses this weekend as a screw in my usual pair is really lose and doesn’t seem to want to be fixed when I tried with a tiny screwdriver! The arm is really wobbly and feels and looks like it might come off!! So to be safe until I can get to the opticians, the spares have come out. Whilst I’ve been wearing these I’ve noticed that I can see over the top of my glasses with my right eye but not on my left and when I look in the mirror they look lopsided! I look bloody silly!! I remember when I picked the spares up, the guy sorting my glasses out for me, didn’t adjust them for me to fit my face – like they would normally, he just gave them straight to me. Maybe this was because they were only the spare set, I don’t know. But while I’m wearing these, being able to see over one side and not the other as well is driving me so mad!! So this has led me to the conclusion that I have wonky ears! or maybe it’s my eyes?! Hmmmmmm! Either way, something’s not right!

I love having an extra day at the weekend, especially when I don’t have to use up my holiday for it! The end of Friday came around quick - it was an easy day as Lyn wasn’t in so I just sat around doing my usual thing of browsing the net left work in an incredibly good mood - only because the weekend was finally here! Got home and was greeted with cuddles from mum and dad - they got back from their week away - think they missed me Spent the rest of the evening talking about their week and my week and what we’d been up to - in my case not a huge amount at all! Did my now regular 4000 steps whilst watching old episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer until Matt came over

We decided to wake up early on Saturday as we needed to go shopping to get Matt a tux for the Leeds summer ball we’re going to at the end of the month. Left here at 9 and headed off to Milton Keynes. I prefer shopping in the morning, not so many people around and I don’t get annoyed with people getting in my way we were unsuccessful in finding a tux to fit Matt - he’s tiny He tried a couple of jackets on in one shop but they were huge on him We looked at a few other shops but all their suits were way to much money! We gave up in looking so decided to wander round for a little while. Found that they had one of their sci fi things on, where they have famous people come and sit behind a table while you que up with a £15-£20 pic of them for them to sign I was quite excited to see some of the people there, as they’re in the programmes I watch - inparticular Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Matt was quite unimpressed and couldn’t understand why I was all excited - just coz he doesn’t watch any of the programmes We left before lunch and headed back home to then meet up with Becky! We all felt quite hungry and very greedy so ordered lots of yummy food for lunch in the cafe in town. Was good to catch up again Think Matt got a little bored when me and Becky started talking about the good old days at school and all the people we used to hang around with. Was good fun to talk about it though! Dropped Becky off back at hers and then headed off to Wycome with Matt, Mum and Dad to see Spiderman 3!! OMG I so loved this film!!! It was amazing!! Want to go and see it again but no one will go with me again! ah well will have to wait for the DVD to come out!

Sunday, I had decided I would wake up early as there were things I wanted to get done in the morning before I went out later that afternoon but that didn’t go too well.. mum came and woke me up around 11:30 to tell me her and dad were going shopping, so then I decided to get up Didn’t get round to doing any of the things I had wanted to do - they’ll have to now wait spent a couple of hours on the net before being kicked off by my dad as he wanted to use it! I’m so hoping the wireless network is up and running this week! I miss being able to sit in my room with my lappy and watch a DVD. Was really tempted to bring one of the tellys down into here so I had something to watch while I was using the computer but don’t think dad would have been too pleased about that Packed some stuff together and headed off to Matts that afternoon. Didn’t to too much as the Snooker was on and we had to watch it *yawn* We had planned on cleaning both of the cars but the weather wasn’t that great so we stayed in instead. After the yummy roast chicken dinner we had we decided to go bowling - 3 games for £18 isn’t bad at all! The person sorting out what lanes to go on was a pain as she triple booked our lane! :roll:  got to use it eventually! I love bowling - especially when I do well at it I thought I was really quite good until this 15 year old kid and his dad turned up to practise. This kid must have been like a professional or something coz he was knocking every single pin down every time!!! Made both me and Matt and the 2 guys playing next to us look really quite silly We got focused back onto our game and still had lots of fun! I won the first 2 games and lost by 1 pin on the last game! Matt wasn’t too happy that I won the first 2, by quite a lot too! When we finished we played on the arcades for a while until we headed back to Matts house for the rest of the evening.

Onto the last day of the weekend - Monday
Another sort of early start.  Woke up early but didn’t end up going out until before lunch. Wanted to try and find another shop to get Matt a tux from - and we were successful! Found this place purely by luck as we were on our way to Pizza Hut. Matt found himself a bargin, getting the entire outfit for £130!! Everywhere else we looked was far more expensive than that! Didn’t really need to shop around much after that, as that was pretty much the only reason we wanted to go shopping I did also want to see if I could get my glasses fixed as a screw in the left hand arm has come really lose and I cant fix it. Having to wear my spare pair just incase I lose the screw. Decided though it would be better to see if I could get them fixed somewhere closer to home in case they need to send them off to get fixed or something. Headed back to Matts for dinner and have to watch boring snooker again Decided to leave Matt to it to watch the rest so I headed home.

And there is the end of the weekend *sigh* still this week’s a short week so the weekend will be around again in no time! can’t wait already!

There’s a competition on the ministry of ownership, where each month, you send in your best MINI picture and a winner and 9 runner ups are chosen. I’ve been sending pics in for ages but never getting to be the winner, had a few of mine appear as runner ups though I hadn’t checked the site for a while as the guys at MINI seem to take forever in updating their site each month, but this morning I thought I’d have a looksie to see if it had been updated - and it had! I was shocked to see my picture up there as the winner! It was taken ages ago and actually sent in a few months ago It’s of my old MINI with Ian’s old MINI and Matt21’s MINI outside the factory in Oxford just after our Oxford run we had done http://www.yourminiadventures.co.uk/ I sent Matt a text this morning to tell him I won, but he wasn’t happy about it, as the picture he had sent in only came in 7th - he’ll have to take some more to send in

I haven’t heard anything from the people at MINI so will send them an email to ask about my prize - I’m thinking maybe the MINI cuckoo clock
